Rolling Forward
With the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA)
COTA is the regional public transit provider for Columbus and Central Ohio, serving an area with more than 1.2 million residents and helping people take more than 19 million trips every single year. In addition to fixed-route service, we also offer on-demand transportation and paratransit options. We have four different facilities in Columbus, housing everything from administrative offices to vehicle maintenance centers.
COTA understands that transit services can be daunting for those who are unfamiliar with using public transportation. We created the video series Rolling Forward to help our customers understand how to ride — from tips for not missing the bus to using the bicycle rack — and to educate viewers on the different services available at COTA as well as the behind-the-scenes operations that keep us moving.
Fields Avenue Facility Tour
The newly renovated 275,000 square foot Fields Avenue Facility stores 180 coaches, has 12 vehicle maintenance bays and two bus washers. It is also the location of all our operator training classrooms and facilities. We created this fun video in the style of MTV’s Cribs to educate viewers on what goes on behind the garage doors.
