Account Manager

As an Account Manager at Hunter Marketing, you play a central role in delivering world class work to our clients. We are leaders and supporters. We are project owners and strategic problem solvers. Account Managers achieve internal and client objectives by collaborating with the internal client team members, including content and creative teams. This role establishes significant trust and support internally and externally with our clients. You will not only see yourself as a Hunter but as an extension of your client’s team, immersing yourself in their brand and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary contact with clients, project stakeholders and creatives to guarantee projects are completed on time, on budget and with superb quality deliverables
  • Lead teams through project execution from intake to approval managing project changes along the way
  • Ensure resource and time tracking for all projects for accurate profit management (internal and external)
  • Manage several complex projects with multiple stakeholders and clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Clearly communicate process, project health (budget, resources, and timelines) and project plans to internal teams and clients
  • A proven ability to provide executive-level support to clients and accounts leveraging team strengths
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong two-way communication channel between our project teams and leadership. This includes internal and external/client communication and collaboration
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the cross functional projects
  • Form strategic relationships with our clients to develop insights, strategies and solutions for their marketing and advertising needs
  • Ability to assess workload, and forecast staffing needs
  • Assist with creating marketing and pitch materials for existing and new business efforts
  • Participate in presentations and other client events with our CEO when necessary
  • Report project status and ensure leadership is aware of project direction, challenges and required decisions or guidance
  • Have the strong desire to learn and continue to grow your experience

A bit about you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have experience in an account services agency role, preferably 1-3 years
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, or immediate desire to learn these methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project Management tools
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading teams in a creative environment and possess the ability to motivate
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Must be detail-oriented and have proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, and a great record of delivering successful projects
  • Strong customer service skills

Associate Media Director

As the Associate Media Director, you will be responsible for developing strategic plans for carrying out marketing campaigns using various media channels. Your duties include analyzing digital marketing metrics, collaborating with clients to refine marketing objectives, negotiating,and then distributing advertising content to the most impactful media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign management and execution in Google’s digital advertising platforms, spanning paid search, social, and programmatic media.
  • Translate campaign performance into storytelling, customized to client’s industry
  • Set up, monitor, and optimize campaigns in DSPs such as Google Ads, Facebook, etc.
  • Own the day-to-day management and optimization of assigned programmatic campaigns
  • Pulls and analyzes campaign performance reports to inform daily optimizations and testing recommendations
  • Ensures that campaign KPIs and objectives are met both near and long term.
  • Develop strategic recommendations for connecting a brand to their audience(s) and negotiating buying efforts across multiple channels
  • Pursue innovative solutions for solving client needs
  • Possess a deep and extensive knowledge of digital communications
  • Provide thought leadership and education to both clients and internal audiences
  • Utilize research tools to provide consumer and competitive insight and recommendations
  • Ensure fiscal accuracy of all media buys
  • Actively follow and apply learnings from the digital and social marketing industry, digital marketing best practices and associated behaviors both to consumers and B2B customers
  • Accurately produce, optimize, and maintain multi-channel programs
  • Provide key insights based on campaign data
  • Identify anomalies, meaningful data events and trends for further analysis
  • Support multiple media clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, advertising platforms and media influencers
  • Understand and utilize media research data in the development of media strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend the latest media resources which better serve the agency and its clients.

A bit about you:

Our Media Planner needs several important skills and qualifications to succeed in their job. We expect to see a good mix of soft and hard skills in candidates. The main Media Planner skills to look for are:

  • BS/BA Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
  • 5+ years of relevant media experience, including audience understanding and research, bonus if in Central Ohio.
  • Google Analytics certified
  • Experience buying traditional media nationally in multiple markets preferred.
  • Strong multi-channel understanding, and experience are critical – including digital and social
  • Demonstrated drive and passion for uncovering and identifying connection points – no matter the medium
  • Uses a creative approach to solving marketing challenges with media
  • Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Experience with negotiating and buying traditional and new media
  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Desire to understand and provide insights from campaign data
  • Strong skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Nielsen, comScore, MRI, Scarborough, and Kantar as well as Google Campaign Manager and MOAT
